West Stanly School of the Bible

The West Stanly School of the Bible is an education program which helps believers to expand their understanding of the Bible and to be prepared for ministry in the local church. The school is designed for lay people and lay workers in the church. This includes deacons, Sunday School teachers, youth and children’s workers, Bible study leaders, and many others who simply desire to deepen their Bible knowledge and enhance their ability to serve the Lord.

Spring Semester, 2024

The Spring 2024 semester begins Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Three classes are offered each Tuesday night beginning at.
6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall at Friendship Baptist Church.

6:30-7:10 p.m. – Methods of Bible Study

Methods of Bible Study (6:30 – 7:10) – Helpful methods to assist believers in personal Bible study.  Students learn principles of biblical interpretation, understanding difficult passages, and Bible study tools to use in study of words, chapters, and books of the Bible.

7:15-7:55 p.m. – Survey of the Old Testament II

Survey of the Old Testament II (7:15 – 7:55) – A survey of the Books of Poetry (Job – Song of Solomon), the Major Prophets (Isaiah – Daniel), and the Minor Prophets (Hosea – Malachi) of the Old Testament. The main theme of each book is highlighted along with other significant features including key words, key verses, and pictures of Christ.

8:00-8:40 p.m. – Basic Bible Doctrine II

Basic Bible Doctrine II (8:00 – 8:40) – Clear Bible teaching on Anthropology (the study of man), Harmartiology (the study of sin), Soteriology (the study of salvation), Ecclesiology (the study of the church), and Eschatology (the study of the end times).
