West Stanly School of the Bible
The West Stanly School of the Bible is an education program which helps believers to expand their understanding of the Bible and to be prepared for ministry in the local church. The school is designed for lay people and lay workers in the church. This includes deacons, Sunday School teachers, youth and children’s workers, Bible study leaders, and many others who simply desire to deepen their Bible knowledge and enhance their ability to serve the Lord.
Spring Semester, 2025
The Spring 2025 semester begins Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Three classes are offered each Tuesday night beginning at
6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall at Friendship Baptist Church.

Schedule
6:30-7:10 p.m. – The Life of Christ
A detailed look at the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some topics covered are Christ’s virgin birth; His teachings, miracles, and parables; His suffering and death; His resurrection and ascension. Students also learn Bible answers concerning the deity of Jesus Christ.
7:15-7:55 p.m. – Survey of the New Testament II
A survey of the books of the New Testament (Philippians – Revelation). The main theme of each book is highlighted along with other significant features including key words, key verses, and pictures of Christ.
8:00-8:40 p.m. – The New Testament Church
A study of the first-century church in the New Testament. Emphasis is laid on the biblical purpose of the church and on the involvement of each member of the body. Key topics are studied such as worship in the church and the prayer life of the church.
Enrollment is open to men and women of all ages and also to high school Juniors and Seniors. No academic prerequisites are in effect.
Complete all twelve courses and earn a Biblical Studies Certificate! Graduates of the West Stanly School of the Bible may participate in the commencement exercises of The Crown College in Powell, TN.
Classes are affordably priced at $30 per class or $75 for all three classes offered each semester. This cost includes a beautifully prepared Student Notebook for each course. An additional one-time fee is due when students participate in the commencement exercises after completing all twelve classes.
