West Stanly School of the Bible

The West Stanly School of the Bible is an education program which helps believers to expand their understanding of the Bible and to be prepared for ministry in the local church. The school is designed for lay people and lay workers in the church. This includes deacons, Sunday School teachers, youth and children’s workers, Bible study leaders, and many others who simply desire to deepen their Bible knowledge and enhance their ability to serve the Lord.

Fall Semester, 2024

The Fall 2024 semester begins Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Three classes are offered each Tuesday night beginning at
6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall at Friendship Baptist Church.

6:30-7:10 p.m. – The Christian Home

The Christian Home (6:30 – 7:10) – Clear teaching from God’s Word concerning God’s design for the home and for the Christian family. Helpful instruction is given in the areas of marriage and parenting. This course is beneficial also to singles who plan to establish a Christian home some day.

7:15-7:55 p.m. – Survey of the New Testament I

Survey of the New Testament I (7:15 – 7:55) – A survey of the books of the New Testament (Matthew through Ephesians). The main theme of each book is highlighted along with other significant features including key words, key verses, and pictures of Christ.

8:00-8:40 p.m. – Teaching the Bible

Teaching the Bible (8:00 – 8:40) – Practical instruction on teaching the Bible effectively to adults, youth, and children. Biblical methods of teaching are explored and learned. This course is particularly helpful to Sunday School teachers and workers, Bible study leaders, and parents who are teaching the Bible in their homes.
